As the founder and principal of The Netland Group, Greg Netland leads the firm’s strategic advisory services. He counsels private equity firms and staffing companies on M&A (buy and sell side), as well as strategic planning, organizational structure and operations support. He also serves as an executive board member for multiple private equity-owned staffing firms.
Netland has more than 35 years of staffing industry experience. He helped develop and grow IT staffing specialist, Sapphire Technologies, which led to CEO roles at both Vedior North America and Randstad North America. Netland led the integration of the Vedior and Randstad North American businesses, followed by the successful acquisition of SFN Group. That acquisition/merger created the third largest employment services company in North America, with revenues exceeding $4 billion.
Netland also has extensive experience in the HRO space (MSP and RPO), having started up the managed service business for Sapphire which ultimately merged with Sourceright RPO and became the 4th largest MSP and top 5 RPO business in the US.
During his career, Netland has led or significantly contributed to a host of growth-oriented business transactions. These included:
- 11 Acquisitions (including 5 major integrations) during his time at Sapphire, Vedior, and Randstad
- 24 Transactions during his time with Private Equity including: 7 Due Diligence efforts and Deals closed, 10 Board Roles post close (3 joined after deal was done), 6 Deals bought via Asset (Diligence and Integration included), and 8 Successful Sales Processes. Note: have also been involved in 25+ Due diligence efforts with various PE firms where the deal didn’t happen for various reasons (mostly us passing on the deal)
